California's besieged governor, Gavin Newsom, went on a whiny self-pitying recall rage rant during an interview by the Sacramento Bee editorial board. The contrast in attitude to Larry Elder's appearance before the same group (video link below) was startling. It is obvious that the horrid prospect of being tossed out of office via recall is getting under his skin which accounts for his over-the-top bitterness.

We all know that Dems will steal this election in the same way they stole it in 2020.
Exactly right. There’s not really much for him to get angry about. Even if he does lose, the Democrat Party will take care of him. He’ll probably get an appointment to some high government position.
Meh, hardly a rant. I don’t believe anything this guy says, but he’s mostly just spewing “facts” about how great California is.
This would be the second governor recalled in California in my lifetime.
How can this state consistently vote for democrats when they themselves toss them out when they reveal WHAT DEMOCRATS ARE.
I think he’ll survive because of his huge war chest from tech/Hollywood.
LMAO!!! He’s a nervous boy. I still maintain he’ll survive this, though. Most Cali voters (2.5-1 dems, remember) lust after anything with a (D) after its name.

My hunch is that the dems who support his recall want someone further to the left of Newsom, i.e., a DSA type. Cali is not turning to the political right. I do appreciate what Larry Elder is doing, though.. he can use the bully pulpit to energize conservatives for next year’s midterms.
Yet he killed tens of thousands in nursing homes and all anyone can see is his ‘sex exploits’.

He’s losing. There is NO (D) after his name n the ballot. They screwed up.
Larry Elder said in a recent news interview that Joe Biden won the 2020 election “fair and square.” I heard him say it. He went on to do a good job criticizing the media for their double standards but his statement that Biden won fairly was jaw dropping.
California can do better than Larry Elder.
Considering that he is part of Team Pelosi, Newson won’t have a real job ever again.
Boy. This cat is totally coming off just like an accused who knows that hes guilty and all indications are that a righteous infliction of retribution is about to manifest in the form of being botted in the ass out of office. How many times did he say “damn(ed)” this or that...10-20 times? He got asked how he’s going to restore the “california dream” for the working class and he says “lets talk about california state average tax numbers”? Does he really believe hes done a good job while ignoring the mountains of problems his state has?
Sadly, no...they probably can't.
