Five years ago Kate suffered a series of seizures and ultimately was diagnosed with ADEM (Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis). She was put on seizure medication.
Since then, seizures became rare, but recently she had two episodes within a month. Let us pray for her continuing recovery.
Saint Catherine of Siena is her patron saint.
I also ask for the intercession of Saint Vitus.
PRAYER TO ST VITUS FOR PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM EPILEPSYSt Vitus, born in Italy, is the Patron Saint of dancers, comedians and those suffering from epileptic fits, together with St Dymphna. The cult of St Vitus is ancient. A very old church in Rome is dedicated to him. His relics were claimed by St Denis of Paris.
St Vitus is also invoked for the cure of bites of snakes and dogs infected with rabies.
His feast day is June 15th.
PRAYER:
God our Father, You are my almighty God who loves me.
I thank You for the many blessings You have given me.
In loving trust I place myself before You.
Let Your healing love fill my life.
Give me the strength to understand my illness.
Supported by St Vitus’ prayers, I ask that the sufferings
I endure now may be a source of life now and for ever.
I make this prayer through Christ, Your Son.

Give Kate and her family peace in knowing You love her and will see her though this turbulent time.
