House Democrats Want Biden to Relinquish Authority to Launch Nuclear Weapons

Dozens of House Democrats are calling on President Biden to relinquish sole control over the country’s nuclear arsenal and the ability to launch a strike using those weapons.

Politico reports that the Democrats, led by Rep. Jimmy Panetta (CA) and Rep. Ted Lieu (CA), wrote a letter warning that “vesting one person” with the authority to initiate a nuclear war “entails real risks.”

“While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter explains.

...

Politico notes that the Democrats are attempting to curb the president’s power in the nuclear command-control system. But is it really about taking control from Biden or making sure former President Trump can’t ever have that authority again?

The letter wording is clearly a veiled shot at Trump.

Well, there is a process to amend the Constitution.

Not exactly a vote of confidence.
For some reason, the Dems want us to know about this.
Now all the world’s leaders know about it too. Why?
They didn’t need to go public with their pearl clutching.
Look out, Joe, your new best friends seem to have made some kind of plan about you.

If Biden is unable to perform the duties of Commander-in-Chief, there are constitutional procedures to remove him from that role.

Nonetheless, they need solid proof and make the case for the 25th amendment. Either that or get him to resign.

The Democrats always like to do things outside the law and constitution.

“While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,”

And there are very good strategic reasons for that.

The first goal of any war strategy is to cut your enemy’s lines of communications.

If a general can’t communicate with his commanders, he can not issue orders. If a general can’t issue orders he has relinquished command and his commanders are on their own. There is no longer a single battle plan, no coordination of war plans.

The enemy can then divide and conquer.

If the new regime decides to require both President and Vice President agree on the use of nuclear weapons an enemy of the US could wait until the Vice President is out of the country initiate an attack on communications satellites and radio jamming. The VP is then out of communication.

The enemy then attacks with nuclear weapons.

All of this could be accomplished within a few minutes.

Just the confusion of taking out communication satellites would likely render the armed forces immobile for 15 minutes to an hour. In that amount of time nuclear war heads are striking US strategic sites.

The decision to retaliate or use nuclear weapons in necessarily in the hands of one man.

Two questions: 1-Is this real?
2- Has this ever happened before to any sitting US president?

They know that Slow Joe, a half wit on a good day, has dropped dramatically in the last few weeks. They will keep him in office, repeat, they will keep him in office as long as possible so that Obama can run things. Slow Joe is not running anything. All the actions you have seen are classic Obama.

If he’s not competent to handle the nuclear football... and he’s NOT..... Then he’s certainly not competent to be president.
