Utah Republicans Circulate Petition To Censure Mitt Romney Over Impeachment Vote

A petition is being circulated among Utah Republicans to censure Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) over his vote to convict former President Trump at the Senate impeachment trial.

The petition accuses Romney of failing “to represent the average conservative Utah Republican voter.” It also accuses him and of having “misrepresented himself as a Republican.”

“Senator Willard Mitt Romney has prioritized his personal and political vendetta against President Donald J. Trump ahead of the Constitution of the United States, the interest of We, the People, and the advancement of the Republican Platform,” the petition starts.

“Whereas; Senator Willard Mitt Romney has condoned false and misleading statements that have led the 117th Congress of the United States to further conduct an illegal and unconstitutional 2nd Impeachment proceeding against President Donald J.Trump,” the petition says.

If you read the comments after the article in the Salt lake Tribune you will find they are over 90% anti-Trump and pro-Romney, plus some even claim it’s mainly the rural citizens of Utah that support Trump not the “well-educated” city residents of Utah. It appears Utah is not as conservative as generally believed.

Willard the Rat has toxic support levels amongst GOP voters in Utah. The only group supporting him with a majority are Utah DEMONRAT voters. He won’t switch parties because he learned long ago he could maximize damage to the GOP and Conservatism by pretending to “serve” as one. He won’t win renomination in 2024 unless he switches.

It's high time Willard was held accountable for the outrageous, animal cruelty treatment of Seamus the Irish Setter in 1983. Romney locked the dog in an animal carrier-cage which was strapped atop a Chevy station wagon and transported at very high speed for a 12-hour, 650 mile trip from Massachusetts to the shores of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada. Romney had built a barrier contraption he called a "windshield", but which prevented Seamus any forward view of what he was being hurtled toward. In the turbulent, bowling wind, Seamus developed severe diarrhea, which passengers in the vehicle saw flowing down the rear window. Romney stopped at the next has station, water-boarded the dog and the carrier, re-strapped the carrier-cage to the vehicle roof and resumed highway speed.

Censure is not enough, he should be Impeached. If someone would treat their family dog this way, how do you suppose they treat their constituents?
