NEW: The office of the National Archives tells @NBCNews it received alternate slates of electors from the GOP in 5 states: AZ GA NM NV PA
BUT, those slates were not forwarded to Congress b/c the Electoral Count Act allows them to only pass along slates certified by the states. 170 926 2.3K

I'm for the simple constitutional solution. Pence should send both unconstitutional slates of electors to the state legislatures and let them do their constitutional duty to certify the slate of electors that they think match the intentions of their constituents.
That's what is less authoritarian.

Nope. I didn't make any predictions.
I gave my opinion about what SHOULD be done.
Don't conflate making a prediction about what will be done vs giving an opinion about what should be done.
And make no mistake about it. The authoritarians have won.
Governors over state legislatures. Fraudulent votes over honest vote. Big centralized government and repression over the US Constitution.
I meant **I told you so.
