NM Environment Department Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist (New Mexico Closes 23 Businesses, Hundreds More on Watch List)
NM Environment Department ^ | November 19, 2020 | New Mexico Environment Department

Posted on 11/19/2020 9:05:27 AM PST by CedarDave

The data below includes establishments that have been required to close by the Department of Health for 14 days under the Oct. 22 and Nov. 13 public health orders.

The current public health order mandates certain establishments close for two weeks if they have four or more rapid responses within the last 14 days. The closure requirement applies to food and drink establishments, retail spaces, places of lodging, close-contact businesses as defined in the Nov. 13, 2020 public health order, and essential businesses (other than healthcare operations, utility and media services).

Rapid responses where it was determined that positive employees were not present in the workplace while infectious do not count toward inclusion on the closure list or the Watchlist.

Here in Hobbs, the latest I've heard is that Albertsons Market is defying the closure order and remains open. They are fighting the RadGov Michelle Lujan Grisham's orders. However, McDonald's remains closed.

I'd appreciate NM Freepers reporting any other acts of defiance.

WOW! Sad times. Do the CVRRT (Covid Virus Rapid Response Teams) show up in SWAT gear and ARs at the ready?

I expect the NM State Police show up with the closure orders, but don’t know for sure.

Where do the innocent people living in that area buy food to feed their families?

An establishment may be permitted to continue operating if the Department of Health, after consultation with the New Mexico Environment Department, determines that the business is a sole provider of goods or services within a community.

Son of a bitch!!! I’m traveling (by pick up truck) to two client sites in New Mexico two weeks from now. I travel over from Memphis... usually fly into El Paso.
I drove over back in May also and it sucked because some of my favorite restaurants were closed and this time may be worse!

We are on the border between Essential and Non-essential.

We are a custom printing and embroidery company. Mom and pop. One part time employee who is 25 feet from any other worker. We are selling masks and have produced embroidered lab coats and scrubs for hospitals. On some lists we are non-essential and should be closed. On other lists we should be allowed to operate a a reduced capacity. On still other lists they indicate that because we supply essential businesses, we can stay open.

No one can give us a straight answer.

So for now we are operating, but customers are not allowed in our facility. We are taking orders out to customers’ cars.

All it takes is one asshat to report us and POOF we’re gone.

Yup. A buddy of mine is a safety officer where he works and he now has to be Mr. Bad Guy enforcing STRICT mask adherence because some disgruntled POS called OSHA for a minor infraction. Now he’s tasked with constant “Mask up or march out!” to the workers from his bosses. Be careful.

El Paso alone has hundreds if not thousands of Covid cases, so good choice not to fly in there right now. If you come from EP To Las Cruces you’re supposed to quarantine in place for 14 days.

BTW, there are no restaurants open for indoor or outdoor dining anywhere in New Mexico right now. Take-out and curbside pickup only.

I don’t think there are enough NM State Police to do much, if anything.

More and more people are going to resist this BS and any attempt at enforcement on a large scale would be overwhelmed by the numbers.

Besides, that would take them away from their legitimate law enforcement duties.

One more thing: Mandates can not be legally enforced.

Friend from Hobbs called me this morning and said they are closing Albertsons in Hobbs. Not sure that he has the latest information though. Those that voted for dimoKKKRATs are reaping their reward. The governor of New Mexico is an idiot.

They can wait on a socially distanced line in the freezing cold for two weeks while starving. Or if they have sufficiently high social credit scores, they can abandon all their property, request an exit visa, promise tax revenue forevermore, and flee to Texas, if Texas still will give an entrance visa.
