More than 130 Secret Service officers assigned to the White House and President Donald Trump's travels have recently tested positive for COVID-19 or are quarantining because they might have been exposed to the virus, The Washington Post reported on Friday, citing three people familiar with agency staffing.
The sources told The Post that the outbreak might be connected to the president's campaign stops before Election Day. Trump traveled to several states to hold rallies, where many people did not take measures to help curb virus transmission, such as wearing masks and social distancing.
"Being down more than 100 officers is very problematic," a former senior Secret Service supervisor told the newspaper. "That does not bode well for White House security."
The number represents about 10% of the 1,300 Secret Service officers who work for the White House and the vice president's residence and provide security during presidential trips and official events, The Post reported...

One person tests positive, the entire team goes into quarantine, nobody has symptoms, 4 days later a comprehensive test comes back negative, team is released to go back to work, media reports “13 members of team were either positive for COVID or were quarantined”
At my work, we’ve had 10 confirmed cases, one “confirmed” case of a positive test on a person with no symptoms, and about 90 people quarantined for some period of time waiting for negative test results — 31 negative results.
A few more agents will be filled up when Biden & Harris lose theirs.

In “gubbermint” you can test folks constantly and shut the organization down, since after all, there is no real bottom line, ROI, risk management, or customer. You should have seen the VA when this started to pick up steam. They might not help you even if your screaming in pain, but they checked you three times before you got into the ER.
In the end it’s all a big joke anyhow. But you’re not allowed to call it that, at least in public. It won’t stop until the disease took it’s pound of flesh with 43-50% being exposed, regardless of masks, lockdowns, social distancing... By the time it’s over, those countries with the strictest rules will have exactly as many exposed as those that didn’t do squat, like Sweden. But when emotions/feelings run up against reason, feelings almost always win.
So many of the Secret Service tested positive because they do some much testing of them.
My employer doesn’t test employees because he knows what kind of problems that would cause.
So many of us are working from home, but there are reasons why from time to time we have to go to the office.
