Franklin is not “very conservative”, it’s fairly GOPe with a liberal school board and moderate county manager

It’s about 50/50 northern southern

Very few blacks who don’t stir up much

But it even being mostly white only votes 70% Trump

Mississippi whites on the other hand voted 92% Trump

That’s “very conservative”

Franklin is currently trying to remove all of the monuments to the Confederate Generals that died there and rename all of the streets that were named for them. The City leaders are also wanting to remove all Confederate monuments located there. Franklin isn’t recognizable from the city I helped put on a reenactment in November of 1989.
