The most annoying fan bases in sports Ponder this question: When you say you hate a particular team, are you actually talking about the team itself, or its fans? The players are just doing their jobs on the field, and while there are some whose play engenders blind rage from opposing fans, the real bad blood is created by those cheering for them from the stands (or on social media). From college to the pros, let's take a look at the most annoying fan bases across sports.

Eagles fans booed and threw snowballs at Santa. That says a lot.

I’ve been a Cowboys fan since I was 5. I’m 54 now. I became a fan because my Dad loved them. My favorite college football team is New Mexico. Except for a couple of winning seasons in the late 60’s, early 70’s, one 10-1 season in 1982, and a nice little run from 2001 to 2008, the Lobos have pretty much sucked donkey balls. Yet here I am every season with hope in my eyes that this will be the year.

The best thing about dating a New England Patriots fan is they don’t care if you cheat. :)

I picture in My mind the ‘69 &’70 Championships, Earl Campbell, Daryll Royal years. I was helping take care of Doc (Damned cancer) who was one of the Icons and Car Hops from Dirty Martin’s Burger (Doc’s in the center pic scrolled down) place on Guadalupe St. (Now I want an OT Special, Onion Rings and a Chocolate Malted Shake !!!) One day I was taking Doc some Groceries and hooking up a space heater for Him when there was a knock on the door and I went and answered it. On the porch stood Earl Campbell having come by to see how Doc was doing and brought him some of Earl’s Sausage, some already cooked Pigs Feet and Greens. Doc and Earl were both from Tyler, Texas and Earl was a Regular at Dirty’s Place.

Being that you’re a Lobos fan, do you remember this game:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Emerald_Bowl

That 14:26 minute long drive by Navy was absolutely incredible. 26 plays too. I think it still holds the record for the longest sustained (time-wise) drive in college football.

I’m not saying this to rub it in. I was just wondering if you remembered it. I saw it on TV and I was in awe of Navy’s run game. I think they went for it on 4th down something like four times.

Why rub salt in the wound? Just kidding! That was an amazing drive. When Lobo RB Dontrel Moore went down with a knee injury early in the 2nd quarter I knew things would go south. Lobos needed him to keep the Navy offense off the field. That drive, the “Catch” from the 1982 NFC Championship between Dallas and San Francisco, and the blown call in the 2014 NFC Divisional game when Dez’s catch was overturned will haunt me until I die.
