Interesting video. Anybody that works in hospitals knows that you cannot take live video inside showing patients. That is totally against confidentiality and HIPAA. A doctor filming inside patient areas would have to have the consent first of hospital administration. If you get that, then you would have to get the written consent of a patient or patients being filmed.
For instance, say a hospital wanted to do a piece on a new heart valve being used and how successful the results are and they want a local news crew to film it. They could film a doctor and his or her patient in say a clinic room with the patient being interviewed. This is very controlled and must get the permission of the hospital and the patient. You can’t go around just filming anything you want. You would get fired, fined and possibly do some time.
Yeah, this is the second video I’ve seen showing no chaotic hordes of people overrunning hospitals. Queens, for some reason, being perceived as the epicenter of vast cases of CV.
I just want to tell people who are not NYers, and never have traveled there, that it is a city of at least 7 million hypochondriacs. I have no doubt that some of them with the sniffles have overrun ERs demanding CV tests.
And for haters, I do believe this is a serious virus and must be taken seriously. But panic and misinformation is not the answer.
