If it seems like the number of complaints from your female friends about not being able to find a man is growing, we may finally know why. Somewhere between 1979 and 2008, Americans decided it was much less worth it to get hitched: the share of 25- to 39-year-old women who were currently married fell 10 percent among those with college degrees, 15 percent for those with some college, and a full 20 percent for women with a high-school education or less.
This great American marriage decline—a drop from 72 percent of U.S. adults being wed in 1960 to half in 2014—is usually chalked up to gains in women's rights, the normalization of divorce, and the like. But it also a lot to do with men. Namely, economic forces are making them less appealing partners, and it ties into everything from China to opioids.

Married a native of Central Mexico many years ago (many) and love her dearly. She is NOT a liberal, leftist, feminazi and is a wonderful woman. What I saw of American women in college even back then made me sick. What I see now makes me a raving lunatic if I'm around them for very long.

Very true, but the men have horrific issues as well. The deterioration of values is THE issue. No values. We are headed for destruction, but the vast majority of people simply can not see it coming.

They did not decide; it was decided for them by the atheistic communists who control education and media - just as it was decided that the following were natural and legitimate, instead of aberrant or delusional:
Homosexuality.
Polyamory.
Transgenderism.
Pedophilia.
Gender Identity.
And just as it was decided for them that the so-called heterosexual, monogamous, patriarchal family unit was neither natural nor legitimate.

Monogamy is natural, no matter how much people (including on this forum) seek to justify promiscuity.
Monogamy = Mono + Gamete = One Haploid Male (X or Y) Sperm + One Haploid Female (X) Ovum = One Diploid Zygote.
A woman could have sexual intercourse with fifty men in one night (assuming she had the requisite physical fitness and stamina). If she conceived one child from that orgy, that child would have one father, not fifty.
Children instinctively crave one father and one mother in a stable family unit. The left actively and aggressively seeks to deny them that.
The article is referring to millennials as a possible reason. But the actual statistics are only charted on the divorce rate by year. It does not include when the marriage took place or how long a couple has been married. .
For both men and women, there are other options and things to do and ways to keep yourself occupied, outside of being married.
50 years ago, life would have been pretty boring if you weren’t married, especially if all of your friends were married, and no longer had the time to hang out with you.
Things are completely different today.

Personally, I’m that way (as a female). But, in my 5th decade and poor health, I figured that out. I’m the odd ball tho. I know that. He should know that he’s the odd one out as well.

No, they should avoid getting pregnant in the first place, there are plenty of ways to avoid that. You actually have to do something to get pregnant, it’s not like you wake up one day with it like catching the flu.
