I’m a Xillennial, Remember me

Xillennials as those born between Generation X and Millennials, without the benefit of technology

My daughter thinks that the political labels of conservatism and liberalism are now misappropriated on purpose, they do not reflect the reality of ideological intent contained therein.

Conservatives believe in the true liberation of people from the enslavement of government while liberals are not really interested in freedom as the term implies, but want to conserve in perpetuity a system that oppresses voters, legal and illegal, based on an euphemistically defined socialist/Marxist indoctrination by the government as the benevolent provider of everything without which life would cease to exist.

TOPICS: Government; Politics; Society

I can’t make myself read through the silliness of this. Xillennials between a era and millennials? Ooookay. What years is this supposed group supposed to be from? How do we identify this supposed demographic sliver and why?

Only potential conservative demographic below 50? The average Xer is just around 50, quite a few below.

Where the author really lost me was the claim that this supposed group was the last not indoctrinated in college. Liberals were quite solid in their indoctrinating ways in universities through most of my FILs academic career and he is in his 80s. GenX was quite throughly given the indoctrination throughout school too. The difference is the weight of WWII generation grandparents and the Reagan revolution. Social media technology has also magnified the influence of peers and group think. GenX had plenty of tech access in their youth with a wild and freer internet exploding during their formative years.

Check the posting history...using FR as an advertising site for his blog. Should probably throw some $ FR’s way in appreciation.

There is a political SQUARE. One axis is liberal to conservative. The other is libertarian to authoritarian.

SJWs can be understood as authoritarian liberals, while classic liberals are moderate to libertarian liberals.

Conservatives range from libertarian to authoritarian. Liberals smear all conservatives as the authoritarian religious right boogey man.

The irony is that the religious right is no where near as Puritan as liberals claim to be, while liberals are seeking to ban everything that is contrary to their ideology ...

Antifa can be understood as Social Justice Jihadis.
