My dad had a shotgun that he traded for a pint of whiskey, drank two thirds of said pint and said he still got screwed.

Medical costs related to gun violence? More like medical costs related to gang violence.

8mm mauser sells in a case of 300 for $100 on classic firearms. 33 cents a round. I’m hoping that was either hyperbole or a typom

Well, if you are constantly shooting it, it’s a waste. Otherwise, what are you using it for? Either way. Whether you are shooting it, or storing it, it’s a waste of money.

Like I said, it’s not my hobby so I don’t get it. I’m just not a money spender, myself.

You got a $20 bill burning a hole in your pocket and you can pick up 2000 rds of 22 LR or go buy a burger.

What to do?

Well, if you are constantly shooting it, it’s a waste.

If you're constantly shooting it, and don't enjoy shooting ... maybe it's a waste.

Otherwise, it can be pretty cheap entertainment.

I don't know anybody who shoots a lot, who considers either his time or his money to be wasted.

I’ve never had the feeling that money was burning a hole in my pocket. I would buy neither. But that money would probably eventually go to food.
