The Obamas have become toxic. No one who values their reputation should get anywhere near them. And those who have been associated with them — such as Rahm Emmanuel and Mr. Axelrod — are right to be going out of their way to attack the Obamas’ protégé Ms. Foxx as strenuously as they can.
This is fascinating. Some big guns are coming out strongly against this decision. I think the outrage is genuine because the normal reaction would be to take the side of the black gay guy. That they’re not, tells a tale, though it’s not to say Axelrod or Emanuel and others have suddenly become ethical, only that the evidence is undeniable and this isn’t right.
