When he gets on the air, and announces, “We’re not going anywhere. We’re going to keep reporting ‘the truth’ [FAKE news], no matter what it takes”, as if he’s reporting on the collapse of the Twin Towers, he is so cliche, he might as well start his sentences with, “Oh, the humanity!”, or “Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt this broadcast, to report that an unusual object has fallen from the sky on a farm in Grovers Mill, New Jersey”.
You have be at least half as vain as Acosta to want to be in TV news these days. It didn’t used to be that way. I was watching some tapes from the 60s recently (11/22/63). Those guys were utterly professional. Get it first and get it right. And be fair, keep your opinions to yourself. I long for that!
