With the Spanish government moving to impose direct rule on Catalonia, removing its executive branch and limiting its legislative branch among other things, the propaganda war is as fierce as ever.

One notion being spread is the notion that Russia is somehow involved in the Catalan independence movement.

Its being spread by the same anti-Trump media that have tried to link him and or his election to Russia.

Is it any wonder that the neo-socialist never trumper world globalists would continue the “it’s the russians” meme because Brexit and the other states of the EU that want out is occurring.

Only problem with the “it’s the russians” thingy is that the russians are not the Communist Soviets/Leninists/Stalinists of the days of the Spanish Civil War against Franco. The Russians of today are oligarchs-— Fascist oligarchs, led by Leftist Fascist (there is such a thing) Putin.

Catalonia is the industrial might of Spain. They are tired of paying the EU most of Spains Danegeld to the EU. They want out. Which is doubly interesting that Catalonia has changed from it’s original politics— into wanting autonomy. Catalonia, with the help of Soros, no doubt— is seriously anti-Catholic (as in, the King of Spain catholic) EU socialism. The “social democrat” useful idiots of the EU.

This from wikipedia: “Socialist rule of the region began with the Spanish Revolution of 1936, resulting in workers’ control of businesses and factories, collective farming in the countryside, and attacks against Spanish nationalists and the Catholic clergy. The growing influence of the Communist Party of Spain’s (PCE) Popular Front government and their desire to nationalize revolutionary committees and militias brought it into conflict with the CNT and POUM, resulting in the May Days and the eventual replacement of the CNT by the PCE as the major political force in Catalonia until the arrival of the fascists.”
