Senator John McCain has been diagnosed with a particularly aggressive brain cancer called a glioblastoma.
If he does retire, how would his replacement be chosen?
In Arizona, where McCain is Senator, vacancies are filled by governor appointment rather than a special election. This means that Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, would choose McCains replacement.
Ducey is up for re-election himself in 2018, so its likely he will be very cautious about who he picks. Many are suggesting that Kelli Ward would be the safest choice, since she got 39.2 percent in her primary run against McCain. Shes already signed up to run for election again in 2018, but this time she will be running against Sen. Jeff Flake.

By flipping a coin?
If not Kelli Ward, then two other possibilities would be, either, Sarah Palin, or Marilyn Quayle.
McCain will be done by November 2017.
Hopefully his replacement will be a Republican this time and not another Obama loving Democrat.
He will never retire from the Senate.
Two Conservatives from Arizona would be great...Kelli Ward and someone NOT named McCain...
???
PLEASE NO! He’d make a great car salesman. He has the WORST phony sounding delivery I ever heard. Who would believe anything he says? He’s out of politics for a reason.
I would never associate the word “pretty” with her, regardless of whatever you meant.
What makes you think she wants the job?
>> Everybody dies sometime. Its not like Im causing it. Im more concerned with the fate of the country than an 80 year old open borders warmonger who does everything in his power to sell us out. My conscience is clean.

Amen.
I thought she sold it a while back.
Regardless of his remarks, he has had all three possible primary challengers to the White House to meet with him. One is already announced, in that of Ward. We know that Jeff Flake is not on the personal invite list considering what he did before and after Trump won the nomination and election. Flake is a particularly aggressive piece of dog squeeze.

Sarah Palin
Plans are very malleable things, especially when a higher order may have a differing one. McCain will not give up his “throne” and only relinquish it when the ultimate trump card is dropped. He has always been able to bully and finagle his way through life but he has no more clout than any other human on the face of this earth once the last card is dealt.
“McCain will probably announce his retirement soon.”
Hope floats like many other things. His absolute arrogance won’t let him. He will ride this all the way to the grave just to stick it in Trump’s eye.

Yep, he will if he can. But God will have the last word.
Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution sets three qualifications for senators: (1) they must be at least 30 years old,
Meghan's 33. Check!
(2) they must have been citizens of the United States for at least the past nine years,
Check!
and (3) they must be inhabitants of the states they seek to represent at the time of their election.
Hmm. Where does Meghan live?
The Reagan's in particular Nancy never forgave him for it .

He probably has three months but his Dem operative aides will be voting for him .
Kelli would be great but the Uniparty has other plans .
