I will take the pill which lets me live a healthy full life to 100 and then makes you instantly drop dead.

I'm sure there are some unintended consequences that have yet to be discovered from this pill.

And I am doubly sure that those consequences will be quite horrific.

Trying to play God always turns out bad.

Robert Byrd would still be in office, and staying there until he met with some accident or was “accidentally” poisoned.

Imagine Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi and Hillary and Bill Clinton and Putin and other Lenin/Stalin/Hitler-like people living forever. Life would not be worth living for the rest of humanity.

I already have eternal life in a much better place....besides how long do you think it will be before the muzzies finally set off some nukes around the globe? Besides, Jesus is coming back before we destroy this place totally...

How does low gravity effect aging?

The telomeres issue likely would still be present, limiting the replication of cells to a finite number of generations. Seems the treatment just enhances the body’s ability to renew damage, which otherwise would accumulate. Might allow perfect health through a moderately extended life, with a sudden rapid decline. A distinct signal to tidy one’s affairs.

It might pressure us to get off our planet. One of the big hindrances to any sort of space exploration and colonization is that right now it seems to require planning on large time scales through many, many generations. But if life spans can be increased to 10,000 years or something it starts to become much more viable. If science doesn’t keep up, it might become necessary as the population rises and uses more resources as folks stop dying.

Say a massive generational ark would take 100 years to get ready, no one there at the beginning would ever even get to leave, much less arrive any where. But maybe it gets done if the folks working on it have a good chance of going and not dying in transit.

Yes, I choose eternal life.

But I have been chosen for eternal life.

With my luck, I’d get run over by a car. Statistics say accidents happen.

I’ll live forever with my Savior if glory. Why would anyone want to live forever on this world?

The only thing these life-extending drugs will do is ensure that you die of something way more horrible than old age (cancer, accident, etc.).
