A .38 Special is a perfect weapon for a woman who isn’t a gun buff. Point and pull with enough power to stop a bad guy (depending on the round).

In all honesty, a quality 38 special is truly wonderful for everything human defense related. Id step up to a 357 for tougher critters.

I’ve been shooting since I was about 8-my close-at-hand/carry weapon is a Taurus .38 Special I’ve had for over 30 years-I also have a .357, but my .38 is the one I keep near-I live in a remote area-not all of the neighbors are law abiding folks so keeping a firearm close is common practice...

I carry a Lady Smith snub nosed 38 in a holster. I used to have a Taurus snub nosed .38 but sold it since I like the Lady Smith better.
I agree. They’re a great woman’s gun.
