Progressive media pundit Nomiki Konst is under fire for her comments accusing Ohio State University Officer Alan Horujko of having “rushed to judgment” by shooting terror suspect Abdul Razak Ali Artan, who carried out an attack at the school this past Monday. (video below)
Fox News host Megyn Kelly had asked Konst for her thoughts on the following tweet from Democrat Tim Kaine, which prematurely described the incident as an act of gun violence.
Konst responded by saying, “Senator Kaine should not have rushed to judgment, should have waited for the facts to come in, as should have the police that were there who ended up shooting – who we now know – is someone who aligned himself with ISIS.”
When pressed for further explanation, Konst said Officer Horujko should have simply tried to wound Artan with the intention of getting his side of the story later.
Konst’s statement did not sit well with a number of people, including retired cop Michael Armstrong, who spoke with the Independent Journal Review.
“[She’s] on another planet,” he said. “In life or death situations, you neutralize the threat. Period. And if liberal chick’s child was being stabbed, would she insist the officer try to reason with the terrorist or try to wound missing him and hitting a bystander, while he continues his homicidal rage?”
Twitter user @JasonCvancara, who describes himself as having nearly two decades of military/police experience, also criticized Konst, sparking a little argument online.
Nomiki Konst’s stance stands at odds with ones from a number of officials who lauded Officer Horujko for his swift actions on Monday.
Mayor Andrew Ginther called Officer Horujko an “outstanding law enforcement officer,” adding that he saved the lives of “many residents and students.”
America needs to stop giving morons a voice.
Cops are not trained to shoot to ‘wound’, they shoot to stop the threat. Shooting to wound would be suicide.

An American processes information at the point of attack quickly and has the means to neutralize the threat. Innocent life goes on...only to be further attacked by a Tuesday morning quarterback and a putrid-politico-talking-puppet-creep-scumbag.

I think it was Dennis Prager who said that some comments are so bloody stupid they could only have been made by someone who went to college and grad school.

No, America needs to share and expose these people every opportunity we can. We need to share these stories via social media, so the next time they try to push their liberal agenda, the people reading it will go ‘wasn’t this the moron who said the OSU campus cop rushed to judgment in shooting someone who was actively stabbing students after running into them with a car?’

Any previous statement, link to this. ‘This is what he thinks about a life and death situation, if they told you it was daylight outside, I’d say you’d need to check yourself first before believing them.’

So her point is obviously, "Hey! Why couldn't this cop have instead aimed his handgun from some distance away - taking into account the extremely high accuracy of the average handgun with its 4-inch long barrel when in the hands of a Hollywood actor - at whichever of the perp's hands/wrists was holding the weapon, to knock it out of his hand and save the perp's life, confident he wouldn't miss and hit one of the 100's of bystanders in the background? Better yet, why didn't he just hit the brandished weapon directly from 100 yards away and spare the perp's hand from damage?"

The officer used a patrol rifle, not his sidearm, but we’ll apply the Blutarski rule on the well-structured rant.
Do you mean the Blutarski rant re, “Did we give up after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?” Heh heh! I was tempted to Blutarski it even further by having the sidearm sporting only a 2 inch long barrel, and the LEO shooting from a quarter mile away, and hitting the perp’s right thumbnail, but what the hey.
