If there ever was a time to drop cable or news subscriptions, its now

Posted on 11/25/2016 2:43:10 PM PST by Secret Agent Man

Looks like the media has learned absolutely zero from this election. They are preparing round two to steal the election before the inauguration and when that fails they already have outlined how the next 4 years of coverage are going to be.

If there has ever been a time to drop them, it's now. No subscriptions. No more liberal rag papers. No more magazines that tout this crap. Let them fail.

True. The latest on Yahoo says that the Russians created “fake news” to help elect Trump. What a bunch of lies!

There is no need for cable. Every channel available on cable and more is on the internet, so cut the cable, their propaganda and their revenue.

Also their viewership. Streaming doesn’t add to their viewer totals. That affects how they can set their ad rates.

Already done about two years ago. When we go to a relative’s house and watch their cable tv, there’s nothing but crap on tv.

Add a 20 dollar router and internet connection and say bye bye to cable/dish.

Let’s see;
Hillary Clinton won California by several million votes, so we should set aside the Electoral College and declare her winner.
The Green Party candidate is contesting the election even though she got less than 2% of the popular vote and no electoral votes.
It’s the Russians. They interfered with our election with fake news despite the blatant bias shown by our own media.
The adage is that the best defense is a good offense. But after the absolute and total beating the Democrat Party took 11/8, I guess they decided to go with ANY offense, no matter how removed from reality it might be...

I dropped my cable in September and just subscribed to Sling TV. They sent me an offer for a free ROKU stick for paying 3 months in advance. ROKU looks pretty cool.

I tried to drop cable tv and Comcast said my cost would actually RISE for my remaining Internet without it! What the heck? Not sure what to do. l live in a rural part of S. NH. Very few options...

I canceled my local newspaper up here in Montana about 2 months ago. When they asked why I told them “I can’t cancel the New York Times so your nest in line.” It’s made me feel like I voted twice. If people would cancel their local papers all over the country it would send a major message to the MSM. Or just cancel it for 1 month until Trump is in office. Send the message.

It looks like you need to dicker with them. From the link posted below.

"I went to my local Comcast store just yesterday to return their rental modem because I bought my own and also to delete the home phone service off my account, leaving only internet. I asked what my options were for internet only plans and there was some basic, low speed/low price option and then a 50mbps down for $49.95 (12 month promotional rate). This ended up being cheaper and faster than what I was paying for internet as part of my Double Play package ($53.95 / 30mbps). I walked away from that Comcast interaction feeling pretty good about it, which unusual to say the least. If you have a local office, I would recommend trying to go there and see what and actual face to face conversation can get you. Good luck!"> Comcast Internet Customers

Does Sling have the Discovery Channel offerings? My wife’s a sucker for all the detective/murder shows.

I think the Discovery Channel is mated up with the big cable companies so you need to be a subscriber in order to watch.

I got it specifically for AMC's "The Walking Dead" :-)

Check out what Sling has if you wish.
