The mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, has announced that Chicago will remain a sanctuary city and that it will not cooperate with ICE and defy any orders given by a President Donald Trump.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel promised Monday to defy President-elect Donald Trump’s deportation orders and vowed that the city will always be a so-called sanctuary city.Trump made clear that he wants to deport criminal illegals:Chicago laws prohibit government workers and police officers from asking the locals about their immigration status, according to the Chicago Tribune. Emanuel reaffirmed that the policy will continue.
"To all those who are, after Tuesday's election, very nervous and filled with anxiety as we've spoken to, you are safe in Chicago, you are secure in Chicago and you are supported in Chicago," Emanuel said. "Chicago will always be a sanctuary city."
"What we are going to do is get the people that are [criminals] and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers," Trump said. "We have a lot of these people. Probably two million, it could be even three million. We are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate.Rahm is the guy who expressed a desire to kill several Clinton "enemies" in 1992:“After the border is secured and after everything gets normalized," Trump added, "we're going to make a determination on [other undocumented immigrants] ... But before we make that determination ... we want to secure our border.”
The most infamous Rahmbo story of them all is the one that begins with the dinner the night after Bill Clinton was elected in 1992. Among those present at the dinner table was ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, who watched while an overwrought and clearly exhausted Emanuel began ranting at a long list of Clinton “enemies.” As he shouted each name, he stabbed the table with his steak knife: “Nat Landow! Dead! Cliff Jackson! Dead!” Apparently, others joined in.Let's see what old Rahm has vowed to protect.

Some gang experts worry they eventually may make a push into Chicago, particularly on the Southwest Side, in the neighborhoods around Midway Airport.
Already, 68,000 gang members have staked out turf here. Blending in among the Chicago area's established street gangs now, these California newcomers are a curiosity of sorts.

Simply arrest the entire city government and charge them with aiding and abetting every time an illegal commits a crime in a declared “sanctuary” city.

Iirc something like 180+ were arrested in the 80’s in a big bust. Judges, police , city officials. You name it, they were all involved.
... but he will still not be able to protect the citizens of Chicago where murder is now mundane.
I, for one, am really looking forward to ending our tax money being transferred to these large, Rat hole cities. Hope Trump stops all money to these large cities and uses it to cut the budget deficit. Once cut, the money should never be restored even if they comply later.

Saving our federal tax dollars.
Taxes are generated by the large cities they are not net beneficiaries. Ironically it is the Blue states which also have a positive balance taxwise with the feds.
These states are the most heavily taxed yet continually vote for more.
There are millions of conservatives in these cities and states but the millions plus of the moochers over weight their votes.
How about making the governor’s mansion a sanctuary residence?
Imagine if you will, Mayors of major cities standing in defiance of Barack Obama's campaign platform immediately following his election victory..
Undoubtedly, these Mayors would be labeled as RACIST and OUT OF LINE for challenging the new black president, even before taking office.

What I am about to say is very important in the legal aspect of what we see here with “sanctuary” mayors.
IMO,Richard Nixon was excoriated and persecuted for not turning in John Mitchell ( Attorney General) for alleged criminal cover up of the Watergate break-in master minded by John Dean, White House Counsel. How many of you know the alleged CRIME that Nixon had “committed”? It was “OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE”!!
