That attitude is RACIST! < /libspeak >
I don’t know about other states, but in GA there are a great number of state jobs that pay between 13-15 hour. Raising it to $15hr min here would seriously screw up payroll budgets PLUS give a ton of people on salary an immediate raise because no one is going to stick around “making min wage with a four year degree.” Taxes would have to rise. This is dumb
Your choice:
People on welfare and dont pay taxes
or
People work and dont pay taxes.
SSI “disability” has ballooned.
Bringing people into the work culture is good. Period.
The $15 per hour minimum wage isn’t about “living” wages for service workers. It’s about pay raises for highly compensated UNION workers with contracts tied to the Minimum Wage. The $15 per hour minimum wage would mean an automatic pay hike for the union members.
The wildly excessive salaries suck too much money out of circulation. Conservative rule is CEO makez no more than 7 to 10 times that of line worker (or equivelent). Someone staring their own business and taking risks does not apply. And I never said min wage does not transfer jobs to areas that pay less.

You are totally wrong. By what authority are you to decide how much a CEO is allowed to make? Those CEOs don’t take the money and stuff it into their mattresses. They spend it on things that most people can’t afford and those things are usually made by skilled craftsmen which gives them a job. Your plan would put them out of work.
