Correct. I’ve seen the demo shots on youtube and was not impressed. Now the .45 ACP Winchester Ranger 230gr. JHP (which is a Black Talon with a new name) - THAT is an impressive round. The 124gr. 9mm JHP Ranger is no slouch either.

Amen to that!! Some years ago, I retrieved some .40 cal of these that were fired into pumpkins after Halloween by digging them out from the the sand mound backstop just behind the pumpkins. Impressive is an understatement...indeed!! Six perfectly-shaped “talons” formed by the outer copper jacket. Each one just as sharp as a razor. While the inner lead core mushroomed like a typical hollow-point pedal. With those “talons” on that fast-spinning bullet, one can only imagine it gnawing thru gristle, bone, etc. Yes Sir! One bad-ass round for sure, and I keep 10 of em in my .45 cal Glock 30 Gen 4 all the time.
