So Obama is just like every other person to occupy the WH. There is nothing at all different about him [& I am NOT talking about skin color] . . than about every other POTUS.

Well, one thing that is different about Obama than with every prior President is that he is the only one to offer up his birth certificate indicating a U.S.-birth and have that fact verified by the State-issuing vital records office. Right? Can you suppress the cognitive dissonance this no doubt creates in your mind long enough to agree?

People recalled his mother’s pregnancy. They recalled her trip to the hospital, & her homecoming. Close friends, family & neighbors shared recollections of Obama’s parents’ life together, and their delight at welcoming a new/first child into the world. There was probably even a tale or two about proud papa passing out cigars in HI.

This is early 1960's America. Back then, a 17 year old becoming pregnant (and by a black man, to boot) was not something that got paraded around. To the contrary, the young lady was often kept out of view for the while. So the perceived absence of these "usual things" doesn't strike me as meaningful.

There was at least one biographical piece done on Stanley Ann where the author went and spoke with persons who knew about her relationship with Obama, Jr. So the sort of testimony you appear to be seeking is out there. I don't recall the piece offhand. But until the 800-pound gorilla in the room (Hawaii's attestation of Obama's birth there) is acknowledged, I don't feel a whole lot of need to go chasing it down.

Oh, I recall it very well. The author, David Maraniss, a pro-Obama liberal, didn’t exactly do what you wish he’d done”

‘David Maraniss has no use for “birthers.” In a recent interview, he dismissed their beliefs as “preposterous” and wonders why they cling to them, since “every fact and document leads in another direction.”

Yet the one core belief that has united the birther community — if there be such a thing — is that Obama dissembled when he talked at both the 2004 and 2008 Democratic Conventions about his parents’ “improbable love” and “abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation.”

Birthers have known for years that there was no Obama family, that the couple never lived together, that Obama campaigned on a lie, and that the major media covered for him every step of the way. This, ironically, Maraniss confirms in Barack Obama: The Story, a book that has to be parsed as carefully as the Talmud or Finnegan’s Wake to be made sense of. Despite his slam on birthers, the facts herein will come as more of a shock to the Obama faithful than to those who have questioned the official birth narrative.

“In the college life of Barack Obama [Senior] in 1961 and 1962,” writes Maraniss, “as recounted by his friends and acquaintances in Honolulu, there was no Ann; there was no baby.” Although Maraniss talked to many of Obama Sr.’s friends, none of the credible ones ever so much as saw him with Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham.

One Obama friend, a Cambodian named Kiri Tith, knew the senior Obama “very well.” He had also met Ann through a different channel. “But he had no idea,” writes Maraniss, “that Ann knew Obama, let alone got hapai (pregnant) by him, married him, and had a son with him.”’

Dance dance bob and weave shuck and jive.

So Stanley Ann knew nobody on HI while she was pregnant. She had no job, no landlord, no next door neighbors, no friends, nothing. She lived in a cave. She scuttled out in the dark of night to pick bananas on which to subsist. When delivery time came, she hiked to the hospital. Before going in, she donned a fake beard and mustache, so no one could recognize her. When it came time to leave, she hiked back to the cave. There she remained until it was time to hike to the airport, buy her own ticket [where did she get the cash—no job, etc.] and fly to Seattle.

Of course, all this seems reasonable to you.

It would.
