Yes, and every one of the several tactics instructors I’ve had has made a point of saying do no expect one round take downs. It does not matter where you fall on the 380, 9mm, 40, 45 scale (or other calibers). The single shot, target cartwheels over through a wall dead thing only happens in Hollywood. Or maybe if you’re using a Barrett 50... Anyway, they all said don’t fire unless you have to. But if you have to, you fire and keep firing until the threat is removed, ie down and no longer making movements that could be bringing a weapon to bear. Six shots, sounds about right. At close range you could easily get off six shots in the time it takes someone to fall to the ground, thus meeting the criteria for no longer being a threat.
