Ukraine is in the same situation as Poland was in 1939, and Put in is even madder than Hitler. Their concern is justified.

Been doing a lot of reading on the beginning of WW1 over the last week or so. Calling up the reserves brings up some real bad memories. BTT

My first thought was that this was one of Homer Simpson’s “70 Years Later” posts (though to be accurate it would be closer to ‘75 years later’).
“As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man,
There are only four things certain since social progress began...”

The background of this is that the New Soviets have accused Poland of fomenting the unrest and uprising in Ukraine and of having trained the Maidan protesters. This maybe news for the Lincoln Brigadistas here who’ve been promoting the same idea about fascist financier George Soros.

It makes sense for them to be prepared. They should also cooperate and coordinate with the Baltic states. If they can come up with the joint defence cooperation between them, and put up a united front against the Ruskies would be the way to go.
No point waiting for Western Europe, who only fight if the U.S. is leading the way, or if it is just some poor third world country they can easily beat up. They also cannot depend on the U.S.
