Compliance with Tyranny is Treason...
What if they had a law and nobody came (we are the revolutionaries now)
let them try boston-style tactics, they will likely get a sore response.
glad so many didn’t register. this law is unconstitutional.
Good on ya Connecticut gun owners...a lesson for others.
That actually may be the way things end. A Federal or State government stomping its feet issuing edict after edict... and the people do absolutely nothing. There are more of us then them. Of course at this point, tyrannical governments like to make examples of some to scare the populace. With such high non-compliance, this is likely not to work and will only further piss-off the public.
“What if they had a law and nobody came (we are the revolutionaries now)”
Well, that is exactly what happened just before the Roman and Soviet empires fell.
“dont exist....and they dont. LOL

Actually, this is happening now, and the Federal government is afraid to push on anything because it will expose their true weakness. Look at the pot laws. Look at the immigration laws that are “waived”. There are also cracks elsewhere. Ignoring the laws works both ways.
Franklin testimony on the stamp act.
He warned the house of commons that they wouldn’t find guns but they might just create a revolution.
>>Q. Can any thing less than a military force carry the Stamp Act into execution?
—A. I do not see how a military force can be applied to that purpose.
Q. Why may it not?
—A. Suppose a military force sent into America, they will find nobody in arms; what are they then to do? They cannot force a man to take stamps who chuses to do without them. They will not find a rebellion; they may indeed make one.

I wonder how many entrepreneurs have taken the state off their list of places to locate a new business. I wonder how many will leave quietly over the next months and years.
The members of the legislature who passed this bill will never see the jobs, residents and tax revenues that this law will cost the state. Like in Kalifornia, I don’t think they care. Such people seek an ideologically pure Utopia, a form of secular salvation that is so important that it is worth any cost.
It’s been very suspicious that no data from the UN-SAFE Act has been published. The only thing we hear is people that tripped up and had a once legal magazine or put an extra bullet or two in the mag.
Awful, sorry bro’. Here in WI you can go to a show and it’s still cash and carry, as much as you like.
What if... doors are kicked in, flash-bangs thrown, and shots are fired?
No, maybe it won’t be like that. Your liberal neighbor will have you SWATed with a fake 911 call, the po-po will show up in their surplus MRAP in full battle gear and....well...things could still get deadly.
Any lethal outcome will be the shot heard ‘round the world and if it happens, everything changes and all bets are off. Is this the real reason for governmental hesitancy in New Haven? Fear of the unknown?
>> Fear of the unknown?
Could be.
Whatever transpires, it’ll be interesting and educational.
But I maintain the real news is the VERY low initial compliance rate... even in a liberal enclave like Connecticut.
That was not expected (by me, anyhow).
Nothing irks totalitarians more than ignoring their dictates. They will strike back be ready.
I too am pleasantly surprised. Thought the place was overrun with Starbucks-sucking urbanites. Maybe some of that old New England cussedness has survived all the PC cr@p.
Their motto: “We Yankees do as we d@mn well please.”
And I bet the more extreme the overstep from a logical and Constitutional perspective, the lower the compliance rate. So CT probably got like three guys to register.
