I think he didn’t speak because he fundamentally disagreed with the speech Lincoln gave. The part where he said “conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”
He doesn’t believe in liberty and thinks of himself as superior to us mere peons.
The president rarely appears these days before audiences that aren’t hand-picked sycophants. OK??? Rarely?
