Dick Morris, Karl Rove, Fox News and fools: Not fair and balanced
Bayoubuzz.com ^ | November 9, 2012 | Jeff Crouere

The network of the Republican Party and the conservative movement suffered a major embarrassment on election night.

For weeks prior to the election, Fox News has been giving valuable air time to pollsters and pundits who predicted a Romney “landslide.”

These projections were in stark contrast to reputable poll results that were used in other media outlets; however, Fox News viewers were led to believe that the other polls were “skewed” against Mitt Romney. It turns out Fox News was skewed toward self-promoting “experts” who were universally wrong about their predictions.

Neither side drew the numbers they did in 2008 (a bunch of people don’t give a sh!t anymore).

Nielson had the election night viewership down by nearly 6 million from 2008 to 2012.

Lets face it. Rush was right, its hard to vote agains’t Santa Claus. Couple that with massive fraud and we have now gone way past being able to correct what ails this country at the ballot box.

Another thing to consider about people tuning out of elections, news, etc. The horizon does not contain good news.

Tough times are coming (debt to DEAL with) beyond just the immediate economic state of the nation. Baby boomers going into retirement and drawing from the system. Gen Xers NOT earning what they thought they would after going to college (jobs being offshored, not being able to put in 15-20 years at one firm) and poor stock market performance (knocking out years of investment growth for retirement).

Prozac nation don’t want to confront this situation.

Fox is in an unenviable position - damned if they do, damned if they don’t. I’m on your side, cheerleading is pointless, and Hannity is worthless. But many here would likely turn off Fox News if they brought any “harsh reality” into the mix.

Now that is pretty hard to argue with!
In fact the only thing I see that Jeff Crouere is wrong about is; Fox News ain't no network, it is a Cable/Satellite news station. and that is just picking $hit with the chickens.

You have to fight the fight that comes your way, and sometimes you have to dramatically revise your strategy. None of the groups that voted for Obama are capable of winning elections on their own. It's time to start looking for ways to pick apart their coalition.

I guess I kind of lost your point here.

You are correct.

I drifted from reorganizing FoxNews to the resume of the next candidate.

What I find astounding is that Romney got fewer Republican votes than McCain did in 2008, and McCain was intensely disliked by many conservatives.

What caused this to happen? Was it Romney's reputation as an opportunistic flip-flopper? Was it his strategy of "sitting on a lead" and "running out the clock" after the first debate? Was it the rancor generated by a hard-fought primary campaign? Did Romney's Mormon faith spook Christian voters? Was it a combination of all of these? Was it something else?

We’ve just seen a huge success of racist politics - hard to imagine Rubio on our ticket wouldn’t have helped.

Was it something else?

It was allowing Obama to call him names for months without hitting back for one thing. But I still think that the moron social security / medicare recipients once again were convinced that Romney/ Ryan's plan to save medicaid / social security was gonna take away their gummint check.
The very bastard that is hastening the bankruptcy of the nation and ensuring that social security and every other welfare program is insolvent managed to convince them that Romney/Ryan were a threat to their government teat.
Can't you just love the irony?

What caused this to happen?

Age and demographics are not on our side. Old Republicans are dying off faster than new ones are being created.

not a chance!!! Our senior citizens were well aware that Romney/Ryan's plan was to change S.S. and Medicare for future participants (15 or more) years in the future.

That will be done sooner or later but I hope not too far in the future, or it won't work either. There may have been a handful of seniors who believed the pathetic Obama scare tactics, but the bulk of seniors are educated in this matter and are not fooled by nonsense scare tactics.

Obama is appealing to his uneducated masses, Blacks, Hispanics, young women...and they are the ones who elected him. That fact should make you very uncomfortable but not surprised. They elected a totally unqualified, incompetent person to lead the free world....he failed miserably so they re-elected him....when you are dealing with lesser intelligences, this is the result you should expect!!!
