It amuses me that these poseurs express themselves in Spanish rather than Nahuatl.
The reason they look so much like Arabs and North Africans is their ancestors invaded Spain.
Now, regarding lands held by Spain, whatever these pukes tell you about a treaty between Mexico and Spain, Philippe I/II as well as Philippe II/III called the rest of the area North of Mexico the Kingdom of New Mexico ~ it had a separate legal existence in the eyes of its owners. It first began official settlement in 1598, just like Nova Scotia, and Virginia (this was prior to the more formal declaration of the Treaty of London (1604) but consistent with the wishes of Philippe II/III who succeeded his father Philippe I/II who died that year.)
Events on the ground do not give rise to any belief that Mexico, as a sovereign state, had lawful title to the Kingdom of New Mexico ~ particularly when that claim is tied in with pre-existing "native claims". If anything, the evidence is that "natives" from the Valley of Mexico invaded, murdered and ate many natives of both New Mexico and Arizona OVER THEIR OBJECTIONS.
Morality itself is against the Mexican claim.

Exactly. They are not "Latinos". They are "Mexicans". A true "Hispano" or "Latino" visitor in Mexico gets a lot of whining about "how the European Spaniards conquered our land".
In Spanish-speaking countries, "Hispano" (from the Roman province of Hispania) means "relating to Spain itself".
Hispania and "Hispano" are to Spain as Britannia and "British" are to Britain.
In Spanish-speaking countries, "Latino" is a general term that includes all speakers of all Latin based languages. So, the term also includes the French, the Italians, the Portuguese, the Brazilians, etc.
At least the Mexican activists who drew up this poster got it correctly:
The irony of the entire Aztlan ideology is that the descendents of the Mayans and the Aztecs did not originally conquer what is now Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona from the native tribes. The European Spaniards did.
If there is any ancestral claim to what is now the American Southwest, that claim belongs to the descendants of the local Native American tribes and not to the descendants of the Mexican tribes from Central Mexico or the Yucatan.
I’ve had that discussion with many of my students. They don’t seem to grasp that the spanish they proudly speak is the language imposed on them by their European conquerers.
Of course! They unknowingly speak the language of their conquerors.....they have eschewed formal education for a hundred or more years; they eventually will succumb to the same linguistic fate when they try the bullshit bravodo they speak of - this time, it will be English their progeny speaks.
