Obama Falls Behind 'Generic' Republican Candidate
Pundit Press ^ | 3/30/2011 | Thomas Ferdousi

Barack Obama's standing with the people of the United States appears to be falling again. This comes after a slight increase in his polling numbers earlier this year. Now, with gas prices rising and an unclear situation in Libya, the President's numbers have fallen yet again.

According to a Quinnipiac poll, the President would be in some trouble if the election was held today. According to the polling, his approval rating has fallen to his lowest level yet: 42%-- and a disapproval number of 48%.

And fewer and fewer voters believe that the President deserves to be re-elected. Last month, when asked, the public was split 45%-45%. This month paints a different story.

Does President Obama Deserve Re-election?

Yes: 41% No: 50% Other/dk: 9%

Problem is, so have Romney, Huckster, and company.
The Generic Republican can be so many things - Romney and the rest are just a let down.

I for one will not vote for a “Generic Republican candidate”
I will vote for an across the board conservative.
If the Republicans run one of those they can get my vote.
If they do not, there will still be one running and that is who will get my vote.

Beating Obama in and of itself is less important than putting conservatives in office, and making liberal candidates nonviable in one of the parties.

If liberals can control both parties that is far more damaging even than Obama.

The Libya mess could peel away some of those white wine drinking volvo liberals.

I was at a local garage the other day and the Eye-talian owner said to a lawyer customer, " You gotta get rid of that volvo, it breaks too much and it sounds like a woman's body parts."

I laughed out loud, the lawyers eyeballed me, but I was open carrying, so he just went to court with a bad attitude and was now going to screw some other sucker.

That 41% could be brought up to 51% with a speech and three days of media butt kissing. America is filled with idiots that are lazy.

I just filed papers to change my name to Generic Republican and have launched my exploratory committee. Planning my vacation this summer to Iowa and New Hampshire. By the way I will be happy to show anyone my birth certificate.

President Acme.Or I can live with any President randomly selected from the pages of the phone book over the current occupant of the White House.

Three of my mother's cousins in Ohio voted for the O in '08 believing he was the post-partisan healer who would bring us together...each day these normally Republican voters and good Christian ladies regret their vote even more. Must be boatloads of these nice but politically naieve folks all over the country. There will be a large 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me' factor at play next year.
