It seems that the President of the United States was unaware of an ATF sanctioned gun smuggling operation.

Obama told Univision‘s Jorge Ramos that President Felipe Calderon wasn’t informed of the operation because he — the president of the United States — wasn’t informed either. When asked whether he knew of the weapon smuggling plan, Obama responded that it is “a pretty big government” with “a lot of moving parts.”

I’ve got to be honest, it is nice to such a high ranking politician finally make a stand against our over-extended federal government. If the government were smaller and more controlled, this operation may have never happened because it would not have been authorized.
