The story seemed very plausible, until it occurred to me to wonder ‘Do we actually know Obama’s SSN?’
I then googled “George Bush’s Social Security Number” and it did not appear that Bush’s SSN was a matter of public record.
If in fact it can be established that the alleged Obama SSN is genuine, and that # can be traced to Connecticut (or wherever), great. Love to see it. Make me happy.
Social securities numbers aren't public records, you are right. Obama's his found its way into the public domain during the controversy surrounding his selective service registration, and it can be verified.
Just type the 042 social security number that is attributed to him into the selective service website, and his name pops up. So yes, indeed, we do know that is his genuine SSN.
