I heard from my friend in OZ that it is far worse than Katrina (Cat 3) this is a Cat 5 in a already soaken ground. I pray for Austraila the next day and hope everyone heeded the warnings. Keep up the postings.

This is without question one of THE biggest, baddest storms I have ever seen on approach to landfall. Count on this doing very widespread, serious serious devastation. Ghastly. This is hurricane Andrew plus-plus.

Katrina was a strong hurricane, but not even the strongest one of that season. I don’t know why they’re using it as a benchmark. Good luck to everyone in Yasi’s path.
