If it gets bad enough that the dollar collapses... there will be no commerce in gold. It will be anarchy and the survival of the fittest. I do not believe that will happen... but if it does... I'd rather be sitting on what I am sitting on than a pile of gold 20 miles high. That is not to say that I do not have gold... but lead and brass will be the commodity of the realm, if America fails.
