Let’s see if Obama pulls a pocket veto.

Are the voters aware that, as in the Obamacare bill, taking control over every cell in their bodies, that the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, located ENTIRELY within the structure and control of the Federal Reserve, has placed 310 million people beyond the representation of Congress entirely to exist at the pleasure of the Fed Reserve? The Bureau also needs to be repealed, now!!

Of course, Obama will veto any such action.

WE have been bagged up twiceover, once in Obamacare, and again in the Bureau of Consumer Finanacial protection (how Soviet).

A pocket veto can only be used if a bill passes Congress in the last 10 days before adjourning.

If an Obamacare repeal can somehow pass the Senate as well as the House, they will make sure Obama has to actually veto it, with a formal veto.

It's 2/3 vote to overcome that veto. It's been done about 7% of the time. Dems are gonna vote the people. Better Obama lose his job then all of them.

The first order of the day is to make ALL the Bush tax cuts permanent.

Sounds good to me, just don’t fund it.

Remember, the Constitution says that all tax and spending bills, appropriations, revenue, etc. must originate in the House of Representatives. Suppose Speaker Boehner plays hardball and there’s no appropriation bill to fund Obamacare. Then what will Barack and the Senate Democrats do??????

I like the talk of repeal and non-funding, John. But don't even think about screwing around with this POS bill just to give yourselves an ISSUE for 2012!!

Honestly, while repealing it is the ultimate goal, this HCR bill is such an anvil around the neck of Obama/Democrats that I will almost be sad when we finally vanquish it forever in 2012.

Just imagine, EVERY single time anyone’s healthcare costs go up, we are going to be able to point to this pile of crap legislation and blame Democrats. Obama/Democrats are so identified with healthcare now, and average Americans will see so few benefits from HCR, it will be a boon to Republicans for the next 2 years.

Nice words, but it’s already in the process of getting implemented. Five mandates went into production 9/23 (dependents < 26, no preex for kids, in/out network rates, etc.). The exchanges are getting designed and implemented. The HHS reporting system is underway and getting populated. Grandfathering of benefits has been implemented. The national healthcare database is getting designed. Medicare Advantage is chopped. Mandates, regulation, reporting - it’s all happening right now. Cha-ching. IT systems changed. Customer literature changed. Underwriting rules changed. These changes weren’t free and you can’t just go back to the way they were.

Let’s have some real leadership and stop with the “Never, ever...”.

Sounds good. They tried to accuse him of wasting time and his comeback was “we use whatever time it takes to stop it!”. YES!

Cut off HHS funding to put Obamacare in place, cut off funding for the Czars. As they said in The Right Stuff: “no bucks, no Buck Rodgers.
