It would be great if all the recreational drug dealers and users would go jump off a cliff IMO because none of it does anything good for the country.
Every year more kids are getting into this stuff and when you legalize anything kids think it is safe.

In my building a tenant had a big pot plant on the stairs in back. They are long term pot heads, there is no real medical issue and leaving a pot plant exposed without being present puts the landlord at legal risk and someone who could get hurt trying to steal the dam thing.

You’re right, it does put everyone at risk. But common sense would dictate that if sold at Wal-Mart in the same manner as nicotine cigarettes we would not have this problem. Government could theoretically undercut the street dealers/home growers making it useless to sell or grow the stuff in the first place. Mexico, it’s people, and the government are currently being held hostage by drug lords because of the demand for drugs in this country. That doesn’t bother you?

I have studied our drug laws, and have quite a bit of knowledge in the field as it pertains to It’s impact on our society. Your argument is useless. The numbers speak for themselves. 10,000 people die annually as a result of illicit drugs. nearly 1,000,000 die as a result of alcohol, tobacco, and licit drugs (prescription). Yet our focus remains on Marijuana, a drug that no one has ever overdosed on.

Should I move on to crime, corrections, and terrorist organizations that thrive because of our ineptitude in reforming our drug laws?
