Heres something we want to see more of from all of you out there who are quiet and never comment on threads.
Every day, when we run our Open Thread, wed love reports on what people in your neighborhoods, towns, communities, cities, and social groups are talking about.
Its fascinating for us, and helps us get a good handle on what real Americans are engaged in, instead of what the MSM tries to cram down our throats.
We try our best to do this for you here, to tell you what we are hearing on the ground here in Boystown. We actively seek out opinions of those around us and write down as much of it as we can to fill you in later.
Can you start doing this for us too?
Some of you already do this, and its wonderful.
But, there are an awful lot of people all across the country and the world who pop in here if a larger percentage would report in what people are talking about in their parts of the country or globe, we cant even begin to imagine how helpful that would be.
Just imagine all of those real world, first hand reports, across all demographics, chiming in with the voices of all those different cities and states.
It would be an amazing resource for us, and would factor mightily into our analysis of whats going on politically.
So, think about it. It would only take you a moment or two each day. It would probably be hard at first, just as it was hard for us to start writing essays every day on this site. But, after a few days, youll get used to your Reports.
Helen reporting in from Altoona here, with the scoop on opinions at the grocery store.
Bruce reporting in from Boston, with what people are talking about here.
Mercedes reporting the word on the street in Pittsburgh.
If enough of you did this, and we had people reporting in from all 50 states, wed become a better news source than the MSM itself. Wed have eyes and ears on the ground everywhere, and if we kept building that busy bee network, just imagine the influence we could all have combined by 2012.
Wed be an absolute nightmare for the Left, because wed have a complete national picture of what was going on, instead of what the MSM was told to force feed us.
Like we keep saying, we are willing to put in yeomans work and dedicate ourselves to doing everything we can to defeat Dr. Utopia and his Leftists. This is one awesome way in which you could help, that would cost you nothing save for five minutes of your time each day to report in what people are talking about politically and culturally in your parts of the country.
Think about it.
Then report on it tomorrow in the next open thread!
In my Asheville, NC area
-3 Doctors are running for the Senate in different districts in Western North Carolina and have townhall meetings to explain their views on the reform bill and How Real Reform could be accomplished
-Sign posted in my neighbors’ internal medicine doc: “We are no longer accepting Medicade or Medicare patients
-My internal medicine doc who deals with a lot of retirees and is in an office by himself said that last year he saw 120 new patients and earned $8,000. LESS. It’s only going to get worse.
-I’ve been visiting a lot of docs in the last few weeks since I’m having some cancer free check ups. The doctors are frightened and furious, even those who admit voting for Obama.
-The girls who take care of the billing are very frustrated especially with United Health Care which is AARP and Secure Horizons and one other because they are avoiding paying any bills, putting them off, refusing to pay, ignoring them. So all the back and forth paper work is constant and frustrating. The bigger the companies, like United Health/AARP are getting big Government pay backs and they are the worst to deal with, according to a few ladies I talked to.
-My internal medicine guy is considering going private.
