The reports of coyoyes in urban areas are correct. I saw one in Tanglewood in Houston in the middle of the day. For those who don’t know Tanglewood is an upscale neighborhood in central Houston. I had heard they were here but because I never heard them howl like they do in south Texas I didn’t really believe it. I am a believer now because I saw it with my own eyes.

Just 8 days ago, a coyote was captured in Harlem, NYC.

It’s not unusual to see coyote here, but recently my son-in-law saw three in one of the horse pastures in the middle of the day, about 75 yards from his house. We hear them all the time at night, but seeing them in the middle of the day is a bit too bold.
