Here is a video report on the news that the United States and Great Britain have closed their embassies in Yemen in response to terror threats from Al-Qaeda:
The US and Britain have shut their Yemen embassies after threats from an al-Qaeda offshoot linked to an alleged failed US plane bomb plot.
The UK Foreign Office told the BBC its embassy in the capital Sanaa was closed "for security reasons", hours after the US announced its mission had been shut.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown earlier said the UK and US would step up counter-terror efforts in Yemen.
There are mounting fears lawless Yemen is becoming an al-Qaeda haven.
The embassy closures follow last week's threat by a group called al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, urging Muslims to help in "killing every crusader who works at their embassies or other places".
In an internet statement, the group also said it was behind an attempt to bomb a transatlantic airliner on Christmas Day. . . . (VIDEO)

Ah, don't we wish, but we're going to get to see how the "radical left" runs a war this time. My guess is first they'll drop pamphlets giving the exact time and date for a "meaningful" discussion at the local "soda" shop, (can't have a beer summit in Yemen). If they don't show up, then we'll "pamphlet" them again telling them the exact time and date of the bombings so everybody can get out of the way. The we'll knock down their buildings and call the war over and start negotiating for peace (back at the local soda shop).
And what we need is what you say ... STONE AGE BOMBING. I believe that if the reason is "good enough" to go to war, then it should be good enough to kill everything in sight and win the war. If you are not willing to do that, then you shouldn't even be discussing war. The advantage is, you do it once. The next time some upstart country wants to send panty bombers to us they'll think twice knowing that they, their families, their homes will all be obliterated as a consequence. Today our "wars" are so politically correct, there is no "consequence" to our enemies.
And so, America under zero, tucks it's tail between it's legs and skoots for the woods!! How disgusting!!
How about we get all of our people out, that is, all non-Muslims, and then just bomb the God-forsaken place back to the Stone Age once and for all? And then continue bombing all the way to the Saudi border. But you’re right, Wolf, Obama is showing them how far they can go. And it won’t be pretty when that all changes.
It's a good start, close all the embassies and then creatively drive as many alkida members into Yeman as possible.
Yemen is not "Too big to fail" nor is it too big to blow up. Is there any real good reason for it to exist?
Here’s an Obama plan: Nobody wears underwear, at least no Americans. Interestingly, MSM was reporting last night that this latest bombing attempt is ‘owned’ by the Obama administration since they/he knew before Christmas that Jihadists were coming after us wearing explosive underwear. Yemen will be where the next war on terror breaks out and then Somali or vice versa. These two areas are the next hot spots after Afghanistan and Pakistan. And the entire world had better wake up to the fact right now!
The Yemeni government is our ally, but it is too weak to destroy Al’Quaeda itself, which is why it needs our help. It doesn’t make any sense to just attack Yemen...
The governments of the countries in the Middle East better start taking out these terrorists or their own dominoes will start to fall one by one to these extremists just like the way Saddam invaded Kuwait.
So is Pakistan. If they’re muslim, they are not our allies.
Yemen is a festering hole of muslim maggots.
So, your solution is to wage war on 1/5 of the world’s population, even against those Islamic nations with governments who are hostile to the extremists who are their and your common enemy.

OK, pull out the 20 or so "government allies" and take them to safety. Now wage war on the extremists (population) "who are their and your common enemy"
Hold the people accountable and they will either turn on the worthless animals, or properly join them in defeat.
Many of those "ally" governments play both sides against the middle and lie to the people, blaming the US and the Jews for their economic plight. Then they lie to us and pretend to prosecute the terrorists. They could be prosecuting innocent people off the street for all we know.
Unless they have been westernized, the people have no idea what is going on, and may in fact be enemies of our "ally" government friends, siding with the Robin Hood terrorists.
So you can either punish them...or defeat them.
So, every country that has an Al Quada cell in it has war declared on it, lock, stock and barrel by the United States. (Except ‘20 or so government allies’) Which presumably includes all muslim countries compromising 1/5 of the world’s population.
How do you propose to set about doing this and achieve victory?
