It's not bad as copy (first draft) for a TV political ad.
But as a "statement" from one who wants to portray herself as a party leader, it's sadly inadequate.
Her only concrete recommendation -- if you can call it that -- is "We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate."
Well, Sarah, you're a big girl. If you want to "step up," you shouldn't waste time with invitations to "step up."
If you really want to be a leader, you should be jumping into this with a serious, detailed discussion of the health care issue -- something that requires a serious response.
All we got here is a whine. Nicely written, but a whine nonetheless.
Pretty much like your comment.
Cloward and Piven suck.
You mean your reply, right?
You conveniently ignore the fact that she's just a private citizen now, with no active role in the political process and no concrete plans on her future. If she would have came out with a detailed statement or analysis, the attention would have returned back to her instead of the ordinary American citizens in opposition. Once again, Palin is putting regular Americans ahead of her, with this excellent strategy of submitting, the equivalent of a letter to a newspaper.
You are wrong. It is very well written. With this little piece released on Facebook, she’s added the term “death panel” to the national discourse on this subject. It’s simple and to the point and easy for Drudge to use. Brilliant.
Listen tomorrow when she is at the Reagan Library.....
How do you like crow, broached or on the grille....
To who exactly?
99% of Freepers who have read it(including me), think it's great.
“It's not bad as copy (first draft) for a TV political ad.”
Try harder will you.
That attempt at a put down fell as flat as a pancake.
“But as a “statement” from one who wants to portray herself as a party leader, it's sadly inadequate”
Funny
Her statement sounds better to me than anything I have heard from Juan McCain, Romney, Steele or any of the so-called “leaders” of the Republican Party on 0bama’s Deathcare Bill.
“Her only concrete recommendation — if you can call it that — is “We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate.”
Which is exactly what angry conservatives, independents, and even Democrats, who are incensed with this horrible bill are doing right now.
“Well, Sarah, you're a big girl. If you want to “step up,” you shouldn't waste time with invitations to “step up.” “
Step up to where exactly?
“If you really want to be a leader, you should be jumping into this with a serious, detailed discussion of the health care issue — something that requires a serious response. “
The only thing that matters right now, is to KILL the 0bama Deathcare Bill. It's an evil bill and needs to die for the sake of the good health and peace of mind of Americans. That's all that matters.
The fact that out current health care system is not perfect, doesn't mean we should replace it with something that is a million times worse, and is still going to end up costing us TRILLIONS of dollars.
“All we got here is a whine. Nicely written, but a whine nonetheless.”
I am not sure what statement you are reading, but from where I sit, there is nothing that comes even close to a whine in Sarah's statement. It sounds like a robust declaration of war against 0bama’s Deathcare to me.
On the other hand, your entire post a a very long, pitiful whine, with absolutely no substance whatsoever in it. A gratuitous attack and throwing of stones that make no contribution to the discussion in any way whatsoever.
You have been flailed mercilessly for your comment. I think you should be given a chance to prove you are right. Please post what she should have written.
My take-a PERFECT 10...right down to the correct use of EVIL and DAMN!
I guess you prefer some one like Obama who rambles on and on for hours in an endless blather of platitudes, but never really says anything with all his babbling.
I'll take Sarah any day over a slick talking political hack who promises the moon but can't deliver.
