Senator Cornyn, Please Do Not Support Specter Against Pat Toomey

Unbelievably, Senator Cornyn (R-TX) Chairman of the Republican National Senatorial Committee has announce his intention to support RINO Senator Arlen Specter in his bid for reelection as Senator of Pennsylvania against his more conservative challenger, former president of the Club for Growth, Pat Toomey.

Given Senators execrable record of voting against the agenda of his fellow Republican Senators and the good of all American, particularly in supporting the Empty Suit in Chief's $700 Billion budget this year-one of only three Republicans in the entire Congress to do so-I find myself forced to voice my stringent opposition to this foolish move.

Tonight I have sent the following e-mail to Senator Cornyn's Communications Director protesting this decision.

Someone like Paul McHale comes to mind. He was Toomey’s predecessor and courageously voted for impeachment. Remember at the moment that the Dems don’t even have a serious candidate in the running. Jack Wagner, the State Auditor, is only a possible candidate. Running McHale would force the Dems to have to stay put in their own primary to vote for the establishment choice. If Specter does get the nod and McHale gets the Dem nod, it would prove an interesting general matchup.

I think McHale had a pretty liberal voting record (compared to the other four Dems who voted for impeachment having rather conservative records for being RAT politicans). My understanding is McHale voted for impeachment because he had a personal loathing of Clinton from a while back. How many RATs remember after 10 years?

I would like to see a well known popular RAT run in the primary that has a record the rank and file liberal crowd finds repugnant (staunch supporter of the Iraq war, for example), to ensure they stick to their primary. They're always pulling that crap and running Dem-lite candidates in GOP primaries.

Tim Holden might be a fun choice. The RAT base definitely can't stomach him on social issues — he's certainly more of a social conservative than Specter is! (and he was a handful of Dems to vote against the bankruptcy bill, another liberal pet cause) Of course the problem is these pro-life & pro-gun RATs from Reaganesque districts tend to sell their soul when they run statewide and immediately fall in line with the DNC platform.

But as it stands now the RATs can't stand Holden anymore than we can stand Specter.

Holden’s ACU rating is in the toilet. He has gotten a “16” over the past two years in a row, well below Specter’s 42. That would not be an improvement. Where McHale would be an improvement is that he actually went to work for the Bush Administration as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense, so he clearly has national security credentials. I think he would vote even more Conservatively than he did when in the House.

I had forgotten McHale worked for the Bush adminstration. That indeed might cause the RATs to blow a gasket and line up to vote against him in the RAT primary. I can see it now... the Kos types and MoveOn.org crowd ranting “McHale was part of Chimpy Bushitler Jr.’s millitary-industrial complex war for OIL we gotta STOP the neocon!!!”

That is correct, they did not give me one cent or answer my phone calls. I personally called Michael Steele’s office and was told to go through the Illinois Republican Party who’s leader is Andy Mc Kenna.....

Want to understand how corrupt the Illinois GOP is??

MUST see video and the Andy Mc Kenna Story.........................

Hopefully he’ll lose anyway just like Wayne Gilcrest, it was thought because he had two opponents he would probably win.

My email to Cornyn - other Texans, please consider sending “in kind”

Senator Cornyn,

Bluntly, if you support the re-election of the likes of Arlen Specter, then you are part of the problem.

The public has demonstrated in the TEA Parties that they know that the republicans are complicit in this mess. Many have stated that they wish to be rid of the ‘professional politician’ and return to real representative democracy more like that established originally in the Constitution, but with TERM LIMITS.

We also recognize that our professional politicians have allowed the usurpation of our country by leftists. We see indoctrination and historical revision in ALL our schools, we see propaganda machines (the mainstream media) promoting and supporting leftist ideologues and ‘one world’ government, we see judge after judge ignore the oath he or she has taken and make up laws out of thin air; and now we have a student of leftist radicalism as president, with everyone in a position of responsibility failing their own oath to defend the Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic” by not ensuring its requirements are met in regards to Constitutional presidential qualifications.

Your conservative political positions are the republican equivalent to clinton’s triangulation; we see that your interests are not with the needs of Texas or America. As an elected representative from Texas, you should be standing against the fiscal irresponsibility that promotes unfairness and raises the tax burden on all citizens. Supporting Specter is being part of the “republican team” and representing the interest of neither Americans nor the Texans who elected you.

This year may be the last gasp of United States exceptionalism. I will support NO ONE who has in any way contributed to its downturn. I see your support of Specter as such a contribution.

(BTW, My wife and I were members of the Oak Hills Church of Christ BEFORE we built Crown Ridge and remember your using the Church directory for political purposes, another indicator of your lack of discernment and integrity.)

one of your current constituents,
//signed//
