“Will you people for God’s sake give this (expletive deleted) up”

No NO and HELL NO!!!

Not untill this lying crypto-marxist sack of BLEEP either proves that he is a natural born citizen or resigns the presidency!!!

You are inverting the moral emphasis of this argument. All this speculation, correct or not; has come about because this lying crypto-marxist thug from the most corrupt environs of leftist Chicago sewer politics has ascended to POTUS-elect status with the willing aquiescence of the MSM. The MSM was hell-bent on concealing this usurper’s background because they wanted him to be elected. Now, in a classic case of blame the messenger, those of us who belive in the constitution are being reviled for insisting that a POTUS comply with a basic requirement that most of us unhesitatingly conform with when seeking a driver’s license.

The arrogance and effrontery of this lying bastid is breathtaking. The founders knew that they were not natural born citizens, so they had to include language in Art II Sec 1 that exempted THEM. Does this fraud think that he is better than Washington, Madison, Adams, and Jefferson in that sense? Apparently he does, and with the submission of enough folks who think like you, he will suceed in usurping and corrupting the Executive Branch of government. This situation presents the very real posssibility of impelling this great nation beyond a constitutional crisis toward a civil war.

Finally, consider the implications of a man who would undertake these devious machinations to knowingly assume an office that he has no constitutional claim to, and than to see this same counterfeit president elect take an oath to defend that constitution. I believe that such a man would be willing to impose ANY sort or despotism or tyranny upon us to retain power.

Obama’s mother was to young to pass along citizenship to him..... Alan Keyes, who filed suit in California against Obama’s eligibility, claims to possess footage of Obama’s grandmother indicating that Obama was born in Kenya.

A child born to a U.S. citizen can automatically become a citizen. I guess the question is if he is born abroad, if he is a natural born citizen.

http://travel.state.gov/law/info/overseas/overseas_703.html

Documentation of U.S. Citizens Born Abroad

U.S. Department of State
Bureau of Consular Affairs

Documentation of United States Citizens Born
Abroad Who Acquire Citizenship At Birth

The birth of a child abroad to U.S. citizen parent(s) should be reported as soon as possible to the nearest American consular office for the purpose of establishing an official record of the child’s claim to U.S. citizenship at birth. The official record is in the form of a Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America. This document, referred to as the Consular Report of Birth or FS-240, is considered a basic United States citizenship document. An original FS-240 is furnished to the parent(s) at the time the registration is approved.

REPORTING THE BIRTH

A Consular Report of Birth can be prepared only at an American consular office overseas while the child is under the age of 18. Usually, in order to establish the child’s citizenship under the appropriate provisions of U.S. law, the following documents must be submitted:

(1) an official record of the child’s foreign birth;
(2) evidence of the parent(s)’ U.S. citizenship (e.g., a certified birth certificate, current U.S.
passport, or Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship);
(3) evidence of the parents’ marriage, if applicable; and
(4) affidavits of parent(s)’ residence and physical presence in the United States.

In certain cases, it may be necessary to submit additional documents, including affidavits of paternity and support, divorce decrees from prior marriages, or medical reports of blood compatibility. All evidentiary documents should be certified as true copies of the originals by the registrar of the office wherein each document was issued. A service fee of $65 is prescribed under the provisions of Title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 22.1, item 9, for a Consular Report of Birth.

That’s the only thing I find afoot here: it’s just curious why he wouldn’t just produce his birth certificate. He could even do it in “secret” with the judge in chambers and have the court reveal only that he is a citizen.

My real interest in this matter, however, is that it is an unsettled area of the law and now, because a person about whom there is a controversy as to citizenship has actually won the election, the law can be settled once and for all.

Also I like the fact that some of these lawsuits may knock down some of these stupid SOS who, for example, allowed people on the ballot as presidential candidates who were, say, clearly citizens of Nicarauga. If this tightens up this madness in the future, great.

It’s quite unlikely there’s any “there” there as to Obama, but let’s get the law settled (what is required for eligiblity to run for president?), point out where new laws are needed (such as simply requiring proof of citizenship before running for president), and tell SOS that they need to obey laws designed to safeguard the voters.

That’s all good.

And if, by some remote chance, Obama is not elgible to be president, well, okay, then we get President Biden and Vice President Pelosi. That ought to be interesting. The system will work.

Yes, it seems that the law doesn’t really provide a specific procedure for proving eligibility.

I suppose that, up until now, people have presumed that opposition parties and the “watchdogs” of the media would smoke out and address any issues.

But absent some congressman or senator raising an objection, I fear this issue might just slip away. Does anyone in Congress have the courage to ask? I tend to doubt it.
