Yeah... ARFCOM is that kind of place. I think I have maybe three posts at teh Sniper's Hide and I got my account 2 years ago. I haven't posted on some forums in years. Truth to tell, I've forgotten how many I'm actually signed up for...
I spend most my time here or on ARFCOM though.

hmm, I smell a coup... a coup against free speech & information & gun rights education... a lawyer backed image & gun rights laundering business by lawyers.

There should be no such thing as "registration" in this country for any firearm to anyone.

The only reason I can see to help this person is so it didn't happen to others. I hope the NRA stays out of this. I don't want my NRA funds helping someone who doesn't support or even like the NRA.

This is looking more and more like a setup, with a personal vendetta angle against Angel. I just want folks to be aware of the case, and help out if possible. You don't need to know Angel personally to know that he's been a longtime mover and shaker in the RKBA movement. If anybody thinks a letter will help, fire away. If not, just keep your powder dry and we'll see where this goes.

do please keep me posted.
the best I can say of the man at this point is that several people I admire speak highly of him.
for me, that is enough - but I doubt a hostile government would give a crap.

Ditto that. The NRA has a way of selling us gun owners out and I wouldn't want the guy to be sold out, either.

I know that you worship at the NRA Altar, but not all of us do. It's not the organization that's important, it's the right that we fight to protect. Angel is on the front lines of this battle and deserves support from anyone who cherishes freedom.

Where is the Michigan TRT? I am out of the TRT loop these days, but Angel's a player and a critical freedom resource for the good guys.

CONSTITUTION OF MICHIGAN
§ 6 Bearing of arms.
Sec. 6.
Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

United States Code TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both;
If they do prosecute him, he can turn around and sue the doodle out of 'em.

I don't know him but wish him the best. In certain parts of the country it is just about impossible to exercise your second amendment rights without violating some ordinance.
If they really set out to get you, they probably will eventually.
