Polling-Booth Delusions
by Jonah Goldberg
November 01, 2004
Bin Laden really, truly doesn't understand America. But one can hear the murmurings to the contrary: Yesterday, for example, the governor of Pennsylvania -- Ed Rendell -- declared, "It's obvious to me that bin Laden is trying to help George Bush because George Bush is the best recruiter that al Qaeda has." Walter Cronkite said something a little different, but twice as demented: that he was "inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing."
Cronkite's been a demagogue for a while. Rendell is merely a Democrat. :')

If they would simply say they are shutting down so as to keep their comments to themselves I would think nothing of it, but when they claim they are shutting down due to some phoney "bandwidth" issues due to the excessive numbers of users (at 2am ET? Get real!) then they are exposing their true face -- liars, phoneys, and cheats.
That's why they lost this election. People saw through them. Where's the Democrat Party of old? The one of Harry Truman, Zell Miller, Jack Kennedy...

They aren't cowards. They're hurting. And they're sick of rude, nasty trolls coming in to mock them. I can't stand gloating. Well, not usually. I'm gloating about Michael Moore, for instance. But as for my fellow Americans, I'm not going to gloat, no matter how misguided they might be.

I am able to lurk all I want as of right now. There are some pretty weird things being said over there. I guess I don't speak liberalese, I can't understand half of what they are trying to say sometimes.
Right now they are trying to prove their "theory" that fraud was perpetrated in states that use electronic voting. Supposedly, one of them says his "proof" is that exit polling does not jive with the actual polling results in states that use electronic voting machines. There's only one problem: Ohio is 70% butterfly ballots, not EV machines. They are reaching.
Here's a couple of posts that I thought were strange:

118. Talk Logistics NOW!
How will people connect for carpools? How can folks get gas masks and other ESSENTIAL gear fast? The fascists are unlikely to go down without resorting to violence.
Crippling opponents backers, like all Wal-Mart Corporation stores, may be absolutely necessary. They won't give a shit about ghetto riots, but putting the hurt on corporate targets in the suburbs will eviscerate their support in a hurry. There can be no business as usual if the election is stolen again!
Also Kerry needs no money. Give the campaign your body. Give your money to the groups working to establish a constitutional right to vote so this can't happen again in 2008.
Here's another:
missouri dem (xxx posts) Wed Nov-03-04 02:31 AM Response to Original message 87. I let my six year old daughter take the day off from school today to go with me to the Democratic headquarters today so that see could see how Democracy works. I told her this morning that the republicans might try to steal this election and if they did I would have to go somewhere to fight them. She asked how long I would be gone and I told her as long as it takes. She wants to go with me. I told her that I would love for her to go but that this was a fight for adults only. See you all in Ohio or Washington D.C.
