Did you stay up late or get up early to do that? I'm multitasking - following this thread and running a video rendering program, converting some old Super 8 home movies to digital format. The rendering program is cranky and requires frequent tweaks to keep it running, so here I sit.

You're doing more than I am this morning. I haven't even made coffee yet.
Jim, fund-raising thread or not, FReepers need to reflect on how important this site is in their lives. If they do, on the beginning of this beautiful weekend, they will most certainly drop a dollar or two in the bucket.

I'm ........ converting some old Super 8 home movies to digital format. Would you know what's the most practical way, with the new electronic toys that have come out over the past two years, to put your old 8 mm home videos into a DVD disk format?
I'd like to do this for safer storage of the family home videos.

Do you need a video card? How do you set things up?
