NEVER FORGET
.."TOM McSELFISH =
...Gov. BustaMENCHA"
........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.
...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.
...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

The base's unability to see that may just give us Mecha Man. Its Arnold's job to make his case, not the base's to find it. This election, if it goes forward, is Arnold's to lose.

"TOM McSELFISH = Gov. BustaMENCHA"People who say tyhings like this are probably pro-Bustamente, or at least anti-Schwarzenegger, because they are hurting his campaign.

I don't care what you do - you are a liberal anyway. I EXPECT you to vote for a liberal. And I don't feel impotent when I do the right thing - it gives me a reason to be proud of my own actions - putting right and wrong ahead of policy and elections. You, on the other hand, wouldn't know a moral principle if it slapped you in the face.
To: 68 grunt
Hey ex - why do you have such a problem with God's Will being done? Why do you want to include all Christians in your hate? Standing up for a moral principle (e.g. that murdering unborn babies is wrong or that destruction of the family is wrong) = hate? Coming form a moral midget like you, such comments do not surprise me.

Exactly HOW do you think the Governor of any state can outlaw abortion? It's a federal law. Think about that. Abortion is not even an issue here.

So anyone who doesn't line up behind the candidate you hvae selected for them is now "selfish"? You Arnold worshippers are getting desperate.
There is very little difference on policy between BustaMeChA and Schwarzenegger, the Kennedy Republican.

A governor is the one who has to bring to the forefront. Please save your wisdom on voting for an empty suit for someone else.
To: ALOHA RONNIE
True. If you take the poll of those coming out of Arnold's lunch speech you will get those kind of results. Too bad you didn't stick around for Tom's dinner speech and take the same poll. Will Arnold be so gracious when he gets passed in the polls by Tom?

The Governor of California does not have a say regarding "banning" abortion. It is a federal issue. For the time being---but the Supreme Court could allow new restrictions at any time, and a governor should be standing ready to implement them.

voting for him would be more likely to actually advance their agenda than voting for Tom.Provide evidence for your claim.

I have the greatest respect for you FRiend and always have here at FR. But electing Bustamante or having Davis remain in office for a "third time" doesn't make any sense with regard to your arguement.
BTW, Arnold being Governor won't make a difference on Abortion laws. Lawmakers do.
The important thing is having a FISCALLY Conservative Governor.
To "judge" Christians as "immoral" isn't right. I'm a Christian and I will be voting for Arnold as things stand.
The ONLY reason we voted for Simon, was because he was the ONLY candidate. We KNEW he couldn't win. If by some miracle McClintock is left as the only candidate, I will wager right now, that he will not win the state. Mark this response to you. I will too.
I will mark it right now. Sadly, if that happens. I will ping you with an "I TOLD YOU SO". But it won't be a happy one.
It will have been the THIRD time for Republicans in this state. How pathetic is that?
How many chances for CHANGE do we need?
How much good could be done on a HOST of things "conservative" do you imagine could be done if we had a Republican, with Republicans helping him in office? Think about it! And please, as Christians, lets not "judge" each other. I don't think we should do that. I think this is becoming FAR to emotional for everyone involved. And to be honest.. it is getting REALLY ugly. How Christian is that? I also think the McClintock people are by far getting way more hostile than Arnolds people... IMHO. Again, I am normally on your side of things, but we will probably have to agree to dis-agree on this one.

Exactly HOW do you think the Governor of any state can outlaw abortion? It's a federal law. Think about that. Abortion is not even an issue here. The governor (Gay Davis as an example) can and has signed a crapload of homosexual rights bills - want more of the same under Ahh-nold? Ahh-nold is for gay adoptions too. Ahh-nold is for gun control - want some new gun control laws in Calif.? Do you value your 2nd Amendment? How about drivers license for illegals - Ahhnold has no comment (which means he will do nothing!). How about Ahh-noold ridiculing the common-sense Prop. 54 (which will stop gathering govt info on RACE)a "right wing" plan?? huh? huh? Defend Ahh-nold if you can! I'll be happy to point you to his liberal and socialist beliefs. He's a liberal reprobate - having him is not much better than having Bustamante!
To: Spyder
it is much better to have a Republican, no matter their views on abortion, than a state run by Democrats at all levels. My Savior has forbidden me from voting for a candidate who supports the continued legality of baby-killing when a pro-life candidate is running. Your mileage may vary.

BTW, Arnold being Governor won't make a difference on Abortion laws. Lawmakers do. Please see my post #317. It's not just abortion. Moreover, a moral relativist who has no moral compass whatsoever cannot be trusted to do the right thing. What will be Ahh-nold's guide to right and wrong? Himself and only himself. I trust no man who has no fear of God. Period. And you shouldn't either.

"We can argue until the cows come home, but the FACT is that in 1992, conservatives who were mad at GHW Bush for not being conservative enough, voted for a NON conservative, Ross Perot, and fed this country to the wolves by helping elect a debauched and dangerous man."Please explain to me how Arnold is not "debauched." If you haven't read the Oui article where he describes, in his own words, the gang-bang he participated in....and implies that the guys present who didn't participate weren't man enough....please do so before you reply.
