Upon his return to New York, Weed look Seward in the eye and said: "Abraham Lincoln is the best man I ever met."

Upon his return to New York, Weed look Seward in the eye and said: "Abraham Lincoln is the best man I ever met." Thurlow Weed, a corrupt New York political operative, after meeting Lincoln for the first time, reported him to be the best man he ever met.
Oh well, I guess its better than Clinton after he was met for the first time by Paula Jones.
