Matt Gaetz shamed a "failure of our Republican leadership" When Devin Nunes, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan and I wanted subpoena power it was Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy that wouldn't give us that subpoena power. Democrats sent out hundreds of subpoenas. "When Paul Ryan had control and could have run this to ground in 2017, we didn't send out one single subpoena, not one… a failure of our Republican leadership."

The sordid truth is that Bush League Republicans wanted Trump gone as much as the Democrats.
It is about money & power.
I watched that program when it aired. You could see and hear the anger in his voice and in his face as he stated this fact.
The Freedom Caucus has anger and contempt for those two. Rightfully so.
Is it a mere coincidence Fox News has Hired one for their Board of Directors and the other as an “Expert Legal Contributor”? I think not!
BTW, Sean Hannity made absolutely No Comment after Gaetz stated this with obvious passion on his program on Fox News. Sean completely ignored it as if it was never said and moved on to the next thing on his list.

As a follow-up to my previous comment, I would not be surprised at all if Matt Gaetz was seen far less frequently on any Fox News program going forward.

Gowdy can question a witness like no other... and yet he’s a do nothing republican who might as well be a democrat.
he talks one way and another. Just about the time he says something that makes sense....he goes off into liberal land again.. all in the same sentence.
Truthfully, I could not believe my ears when Gaetz said that with such passion.
I thought I heard him wrong, so I backed up to listen again and I was shocked. Gaetz was furious and he had a right to be. I knew Trey was playing coy and acting so cool, but I never realized he was working AGAINST his buddies.
What a jerk he turned out to be.
Gowdy probably believed the lies about President Trump and now feels comfortable to speak out against the attempted coup.
You’re not alone. Gowdy and Grahamnesty had one thing in common. They are both ALL Sound and Fury and of absolutely no consequence whatsoever.
Or, as President Trump so often states, Politicians that are, ALL TALK NO ACTION.
They think we are ALL FOOLS. That they can publicly say, We will do this, or that, never actually doing a damned thing but, we will re-elect them because they said, we will do this or that.
They count on getting re-elected on what they said they will do and that we will never give a thought to the fact they never even attempted to do what they talked about.
But, their Campaign Ads will feature their Talk. Showing them saying, I will do X,Y,Z.
Counting on the fact that alone will get them re-elected once again.
Paul Ryan and his lieutenants including Tray Gowdy, made sure that the democrats and their shenanigans were protected WHEN THE REPUBLICANS HAD BOTH THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE.
I would like to also add that Tray Gowdy and Paul Ryan made sure that Rod Rosenswine, Jim Comey's partner at the DOJ, was not fired by Pres. Trump.
It's odd to hear Paul Ryan referred to as a Republican, since he was a Democrat in all but name.

I am personally sick of the side shows, never having any results, no arrests, no trials, nothing.
Just a bunch of talking heads acting tough with no testicular fortitude to follow thru with anything.
I had high hopes for Gowdy, let down again and again. Leslie Grahm is the same, talks tough and it ends at the end of his lips.
They purposely threw the House to the Democrats in 2018.
